Michael Angelo received his art training from his famous father, the late Expedito Mwebe Kibulla, an acclaimed pioneer East African Artist. Expedito nurtured his son’s talents from an early age and engaged him in many of his commissioned and private art works. Born in 1982 in Nairobi, Michael Angelo went to St. Mary’s then the Rudolph Steiner School. While working with his father, he has done everything from interior design and furniture to painting and sculpture to building and installing projects in private homes, hotels like the Nairobi Serena and Kampala Serena, universities like Strathmore University church-related institutions like the All African Council of Churches in Westlands. This panel, called ‘nature’ is an important work by Michael Angelo which depicts life on earth, including insects, birds, reptiles, plants and animals and is distinctive of a style of “carved paintings” developed by Michael Angelo.
